Background

I am a retired corporate lawyer. I specialized in mergers and acquisition transactions in the energy business. Now with time on my hands, I find myself reading and thinking about history, philosophy, Christianity, spectator sports, constitutional law, public policy and the arts. I am lacking a place to park all of these thoughts; so I decided to start sending them to the cloud and to those few followers that I attract.

Duanesburg is a town in central New York State. It is on the road from Albany to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Other Roles

I am a husband, father of three adult children, grandfather to two grandchildren. I have done volunteer work; most of it has involved the interests of children: Catholic religious teacher, Boy Scouts, and a Houston organization called Child Advocates. Child Advocates is appointed the guardian ad litem for children in legal cases brought by Children's Protective Services that involve allegations of abuse or neglect.

Currently I am a volunteer with our Catholic parish's St. Vincent de Paul Society in Houston. We distribute alms given by our parishioners to the poor to pay rent and utilities, and we try to bring words of hope, encouragement and good news in our visits.
